Abstract
The theory of coaxial-line-scattering-matrix method is reviewed and the theory of gap correction is developed. Discussion includes the influence due to the presence of gaps on the apparent rock property. Correction charts to correct measured complex permittivity of rock sample to its actual value are produced. These charts are useful in the interpretation of the measured data of rock properties using the coaxial-line-scattering-matrix method.
